Day 6: Domestic Fluff

Hello! I am participating in Bsd Rarepair Week 2024. Sorry I’m late! I’ll try to post the fic for today as well, at my usual time but I should at least be able to make it sometime today yeah? But this is day 6, enjoy!

Pairing: Lucy x Higuchi x Tachihara

Living together means you know things about someone. Two someones. As many someones as you live with. It’s different when it’s some stranger, when you make a choice, to live with your partners, it’s so intentional. Because they want to know you. What you eat, how you fold your laundry, what time your flute practice is done. They want to do things with you, they make living together a gift. Heaven can’t beat this, because they made it together.

It’s nice, to live with people you choose to live with. It still sucks, because they get on her nerves, but lucy wouldn’t have it any other way. Higuchi and Tachihara will watch any random movie with her, it makes her feel less alone in the world. They’re also way too loud in the mornings, but she’s grown to prefer that. It’s their first sign of life. Plus, she can just go back to bed.

Higuchi loves to ramble about things, Lucy can’t help but be endeared by that. And Tachihara pulls the silliest faces. Usually at the worst moments to laugh but, whatever, it’s not like Lucy cares about what’s appropriate. Well. That’s a lie, it really does bug her but, she loves him. Them. Both of them.

Maybe if she had different partners, sitting in bed thinking about them would feel more pathetic and clingy. But all Higuchi and Tachihara do is reassure her, make her feel like everything is a gift. They’re the real gift. Higuchi always makes her some coffee, despite Lucy herself being the barista of the two. And Tachihara always sings in the shower, she can here if from their bedroom despite their apartment being so small there’s only two bedrooms and a shower in the hallway. Tachihara and Higuchi make enough for a bigger place but, apparently they always wanted something more cozy.

A yawn and a stretch later, Lucy is out of bed and trudging to her room temperature morning coffee- wait- what?!

There Higuchi is, but that doesn’t make sense! Higuchi has work today, and Tachihara- he’s here too!

“What’s going on?!”

Higuchi takes a sip of her coffee, “Morning sleepyhead.”

“You take forever to wake up, you know?” Tachihara quips.

“Uh- b- HUH?!”

Higuchi chuckles, “We took the day off.”

Tachihara nods his head excitedly.

Lucy stumbles toward them in confusion.

She grasps Tachihara by his biceps and starts shaking him violently, “What?! WHY?!”

Higuchi responds, “Because it’s our anniversary, duhhh.” clear amusement in her tone.

Lucy smacks her forehead, “It is?”

“Yep, now let go of Tachi, he’s gonna be sick if you keep shaking him like that.”

“Oh.” Lucy lets go of him and takes a couple steps back, “I guess I should uhh, get ready, then.”

Higuchi nods her head, and Lucy goes back into their bedroom to get a shower. As she washes, Higuchi tells Tachihara the itinerary for the day. Once Lucy is all dolled up, Higuchi tosses her her jacket and they leave.

Once on the train, Lucy begins to interrogate Higuchi, to no avail. Higuchi’s lips are sealed, but Tachihara’s lips could loosen. If he knows anything that is. She begins questioning him, he pleads he knows nothing, but she can tell he does. Whatever, she guesses it’s not very important to know where they’re going and what they’re doing. It’s gonna bug her a little, but she trusts her partners. Well- she trusts Higuchi, who is no doubt the main plotter here.

Once they’re off the train, Higuchi and Tachihara walk toward the docks. Lucy follows her two partners as they chat, until they stop at a dock with a yacht.

Higuchi sweeps her hair behind her ear and says, “We called ahead and your boss said you can come in late tomorrow, so we can spend all day here, take a nice cat nap or two, and still make sure you get to work tomorrow.” she looks out at the ocean, “I know how much you love it there.”

“Higuchi..” she starts, before pulling the woman into a hug, “thank you, really. I’m so happy to spend the day with you guys.”

With that, Higuchi guided them onto the boat and began setting up. The only staff was the man steering the yacht, and he did well to stay out of their business as they relaxed together. Higuchi had already packed their swimsuits and other water related gear and smuggled it onto the yacht the night before. They lazed around, went tubing, swimming, and ate delicious meals.

By the time they had gotten back to their apartment, the sun had set. They had some drinks, and were stumbling around like giggly bumbling fools. But they ended their night happy. They would dream of pleasant things that night, and wake up hungover. But regardless, they were back to their routine. Tachihara yodeling in the shower and lukewarm coffee.

No one writes for women so I did a lil something for them lol.

Higuchi - She would forgive you, probably make an excuse for you and say that you had a hard day. She's a sweetheart, she deserves the world, make her a full three-course meal in return because she clearly deserves it. She would take such good care of you so do it back.

Louisa - She wouldn't even mention it, but that's partly because she doesn't like confrontation unless necessary. She is very strong-willed but she picks and chooses her battles. There is a real possibility she will bring this up later though if you do not right this wrong.

Yosano - She will definitely call you out on it. She will decide your own punishment later, although it would be something cute like taking her out somewhere. or maybe not, it really depends on how hungry she was. She might try to stab you if she was absolutely starving.

Lucy - She will definitely mention it every single time she was hungry. Non-stop. Your only way of righting this wrong is by taking her out to eat somewhere that she has been secretly eyeing for the last week or so. Then she will talk about that.

Gin - If she was really hungry - a knife to the throat might be adequate. If she was only decently hungry - a very cold shoulder. Food is NOT something to be played with in her eyes, so she will be very upset if she has that messed with. You will have to repay her with some good homemade food for sure, but even then she will not be over it so quickly.

Margaret - As someone born rich and someone who is very independent, she has a secret brat when it comes to these things. She tries to hide it but it does come out when it comes to things she really wanted - like leftovers. Sure, she can try to mentally justify it, but she can also justify starting an argument so you know for sure to never cross her again. She's a bit petty.

Koyo - She likes you but she also believes in strong boundaries. Sharing is not caring, not if she didn't initiate. She loves to share but only if she wanted to. It's a toxic trait that she's working on, but she really wanted those leftovers, so for now good luck getting on her good side again.

I would add Agatha and Teruko but we don't know enough about her yet and Teruko is I think 32 but her age thing is odd? Also, this is very badly written my most sincere apologies.

My Opinion On Every Single Bungou Stray Dogs Ship

Part One- Het Ships I

If you’ve followed me on Tumblr or Instagram for any amount of time you will have heard me trash talk certain ships (and shippers), and also have heard me say stuff like “I don’t really like any of the popular ships” “I don’t care about most ships from this fandom”. But ever want to know what I truly think of them? Probably not. In this series, I will be going through the list of ships on the Wiki and giving a detailed opinion on each and every one. Yes, even the crazy ass ones like Atsushi x Chazuke. I’ll be going in the order that is on the website.

Akipoe/ Akiko Yosano x Edgar Allen Poe: This is a ship? I haven’t heard about it in the nearly four years I’ve been around this fandom. Okay. It’s weird because it’s like someone took the two most popular people to ship Ranpo with and then took him out of the equation. It’s giving no purpose but to be random. Even in an ot3 it would be dumb, but let me hold off on that because that’s for a different ship opinion. They never interact in canon, but I think they’d be chill with each other since they have a mutual friend. But they wouldn’t be anything more than acquaintances. 1.25/10

Akuhigu/ Ryuunosuke Akutagawa x Ichiyo Higuchi: As much as one member of this ship ships it, I will never be able to ship it. It’s not healthy. #higuchideservesbetter Maybe in a canon divergent scenario… but even then I don’t think they’d work. I don’t believe in the “total opposites attract” theory. I hope Asagiri doesn’t decide to do that thing some writers do, where they seemingly get tired of their work and at the end, just go “this character likes this other character, even though it was always one-sided, let’s make it happen and they get together at the very end in the ‘epilogue’ that shows where they are a few years later”. 0/10

Akukyou/ Ryuunosuke Akutagawa x Kyouka Izumi: The only reason I know this ship exists is because when I first watched BSD I was scrolling through someone’s account and she mentioned a year back (2019) she shipped this years before (2016) and then questioned her past self’s sanity. The people who ship this are 14-year-old girls who like Akutagawa and are using Kyouka as a self insert. -2.5/10

Akulucy/ Ryuunosuke Akutagawa x Lucy Maud Montgomery: I’m also surprised this is a thing. I saw some fanart of these two in a romantic context a few years ago because the Japanese VAs for the characters married each other, but I haven’t heard of this as a legitimate ship. But I have seen more ot3 art with Atsushi. Now that I think about it… these two aren’t half bad as a ship, as random as it may seem. I’m looking some stuff up of them, and I think they have enough similarities and differences that they could work. But Lucy does have a crush on Atsushi. It’s a good thing BSD ain’t a romance anime otherwise this could turn love-triangley real fast. EDIT: I have been won over and am now an Akulucy shipper. Second score is my new ranking. 5/10 8/10

Amasawa/ Tatsuhiko Shibusawa x Agatha Christie: I’m also surprised this is a ship. But maybe it’s not that unusual since they’re both characters from Dead Apple. Still really random though. There’s not any basis for it. Also, wouldn’t this be called Agasawa? 1/10

Angomura/ Ango Sakaguchi x Mizuki Tsujimura: This is probably less random if one has read the Another Story light novel, at least that’s what I’m assuming. I have not read it and so I do not know anything about Tsujimura that was not in Dead Apple (so nothing). I don’t feel qualified enough to rank this because of that. -/10

Atsuhigu/ Atsushi Nakajima x Ichiyo Higuchi: This ship reads like it was created by someone who does not ship Akuhigu but thinks it’s going to be canon, but they don’t like Akutagawa while they do like Atsushi, so they went “I want Atsushi to steal his girl!” If that’s not the case, I don’t know how this was created. They met once and Higuchi insulted Atsushi’s looks 💀 Personality wise I think they’d get along. I don’t see it romantically though. 2.5/10

Atsugin/ Atsushi Nakajima x Gin Akutagawa: This ship makes me teehee evilly. “I ship Atsushi x Akutagawa!” “Atsushi and Akutagawa are going to end up together!” Alright well, be careful what you wish for 😈 If there’s a bit of build up later on and it’s not out of the blue, I would LOVE to see Asagiri go “aight, bet” and make them end up together at the very end of the series. I would bathe in the tears of SSKK shippers as I laugh. Despite all that, I don’t exactly ship this. It would be kinda funny in universe too. But I don’t think they’d work. We don’t know enough about Gin though, so I can’t say I like or dislike this until we get to see her a little more. 3/10

Me watching everyone else if there ends up being some build up to the ship and it becomes canon

Atsukyou/ Atsushi Nakajima x Kyouka Izumi: The way this ship gets completely overlooked makes me not fw y’all even more. The age gap is big AT THE MOMENT. Four years won’t be a lot in just a few years. If you want a ship to be endgame, you want them together for life, and if you live to be 80 years old, for the majority of your life a four year age gap is nothing. Stop thinking of the present and look to the future! Plan ahead! Kyouka does not view Atsushi as a brother she has a crush on him her feelings are literally paralleled to Lucy’s! WAKE UP PEOPLE. Even if you don’t ship them when they’re a little older ADMIT THE TRUTH. THERE’S AN ENTIRE SPREAD DEDICATED TO THEM LOOKING AT EACH OTHER’S EYES WHEN THEY FIRST MEET. The anime adapted it so that everything was blacked out in the background and cherry blossoms were floating through the air! That’s totally what happens when future adoptive siblings meet 🙄Totally. Totally. AAAAHHHHHH. Anyways, they’ll be great together and this is really the only ship I have in this series and because I don’t want them with each other until they’re older it’s not even a current ship but a future ship. 10/10

Atsulucy/ Atsushi Nakajima x Lucy Maud Montgomery: They’re cute together but they wouldn’t work long term. I don’t know how to explain it. If someone else does feel free to add. I do like seeing some (some) of the content people make for this. But at the end of the day, it’s just not it. I don’t know what it is that, even seeing how they’re cute and could work short term, I still don’t have feelings for this ship. My heart is not in it. Maybe it’s because I don’t like the tsundere trope, even if it makes sense in Lucy’s case since she was mad at him for forgetting her after she saved him. 4/10

Atsuteru/ Atsushi Nakajima x Teruko Okura: Why is Atsushi getting all the ladies, what’s happening here? I didn’t know about half of these ships. Do people actually ship this? Probably not anymore after finding out she’s literally twelve 💀Hey, for the majority of your life a six year— oh that’s right, twelve years is her life’s majority. Oh well, better luck next time to anyone who shipped this. Although why you would based off what their limited interactions were 🤷🏽‍♀️ -1/10 EDIT: I saw that there was a translation error that made it seem like she was 12 years old but actually she was 12 when Fukuchi found her, which we don’t know the exact date because it said after the War, and the timeline is a little messy. But I do assume she’s an adult now, even if we don’t know how many years ago she was 12. (Asagiri please bring back the character info sheets 🙏🏽)

Atsuwells/ Atsushi Nakajima x Herbert George Wells: Her name is NOT Herbert George… is it? Herberta Georgia? Asagiri we need answers. Also I imagined her as being 28, but we don’t have a canon age. Maybe as a future ship this could work? If only we knew more of her character. I can’t say one way or the other about this, but I hope Wells shows up again. 2.5/10

Bungou Stray Dogs Roleplay Request

Hello! The name's Azul. I'm an 18 year old who loves Bungou Stray Dogs. For a few days now I have been trying to find long-term roleplay partners who knows the fandom of Bungou Stray Dogs.

I have been in the Bungou Stray Dogs fandom for almost a year now, and let me just say I really adore all of the characters except for Mori.

The problem is that I have never experienced roleplaying the fandom BUT I am now wanting to experience roleplaying the fandom and possibly explore the AUs.

I have cosplayed a character from the fandom before and that is the one and only; Chūya Nakahara.

My future cosplay would be Ranpo and I'm excited about it but at this very moment I am working on collecting all of the books.

One of the annoying things this fandom does is their dumbass dismissive “Higuchi deserves better” when someone brings up her CANON love for Akutagawa. And instead of addressing reasons why she likes him (something we don’t get from canon) or how she could go about stopping her feelings— things that would mean interacting with and analyzing her as a character— she’s just trivially dismissed with a “actually she loves Gin… because you know, she loves Akutagawa and that’s her surname too ;)” OR as “she deserves better, also he’s gay and in love with Atsushi” (who apparently doesn’t deserve better). And because it’s now some “yay gay rep” ship win thing (??) everyone ignores it. But the whole making it gay thing is literally just done to write off Higuchi. Because now there’s no time spent delving into her feelings and possible future for her, and the fact that if she did get with Akutagawa she’d probably get more screentime since, bar the Kouyou & Kyouka storyline, women in BSD only get more attention from canon when their story revolves around a male character. And, we all know y’all don’t actually care for her x Gin (she literally asks for her to call her “big sister”!) since there’s only the occasional fanart for them. Nor do y’all truly think she “deserves better”. You just need her out of the way so you can ship SSKK in peace
